Hey beer lovers I visited another Brewery I've been dying to go to. For my birthday, my husband and I decided to spend the weekend in Hershey, PA to celebrate and run a 10k. Showing up to the Brewery on Sunday, April 9, 2017, we arrived just before the doors open. We signed up for the 11:30am tour. From looks alone, the place beautiful. We stepped in to check in for our tour. Our tour guide poured me a glass of the Troegenator, it was delicious. We then made our way upstairs to check out the gallery while waiting for our tour to begin . So I'm not really sure how many people know this, but my husband doesn't actually drink. He does enjoy a good brew tour though. Since we have been together he just hasn't enjoyed the taste of alcohol which is great for me. I have a permanent DD. So, back to the tour, we’re waiting the gallery. I have a beer in hand and Justin had a water. We make our way through the gallery(which is small) and we're enjoying the stories behind each piece. As our tour guide shows up, cracking jokes and having a good time the tour gets started. The next 45 minutes are dedicated to learning the companies history and how Troegs makes their beer. I won’t going to go into great detail on the tour itself because I don't want to spoil it for those who may be visiting in the future for the first time, but it was a great tour. Our tour guide was awesome! The Brewery is nice and big, not as big as Dogfish, but definitely bigger than Flying Dog. After the tour we made our way to the dining room to grab lunch. Oh and we did end the tour with a sample of Troegantor and a souvenir glass to take home. I now know, this is the hit place to visit for brunch in Hershey, PA on a Sunday! The dining room was packed. We struggled to find a table, but got lucky because somebody had just got up. Justin went up to order food at the counter while I waited for one of the bar staff to come to me at our table for my beer order. I started with Joval and followed by a flight. We enjoyed the soft pretzel along with the grilled cheese and pulled pork sand which. The food was super yummy. Not going to lie, was weirded out by the "birthday cake" slice you could order. We assumed it was a birthday cake, but it wasn't. It was a dense cake almost like a coffee cake with peanuts and raspberry. Sorry guys I wasn't a fan. I have a weird thing about textures and mixing certain flavors. One of the bar backs notices we really did not touch the cake and felt bad when we expressed it wasn't what we thought it was. So, he took it away and brought us a brownie instead, which was absolutely delicious. Of course we hit the gift shop before leaving. I needed some beer and a t-shirt before I could go. Prices were reasonable, the store had a great variety of items to choose from. A majority of the items were beer so it really couldn't go wrong. I ended up with 2 shirts, a glass and beer. If your ever in Hershey, PA make sure you stop and check out Troegs Independent Brewery.
