We love food! Disney has some of the best food around. From snack stands to the fine dining, you will always find something you can enjoy. When it comes to food and experience you can't go wrong dining with Disney. Here is a list of our top 5 restaurants at WDW. 5. 50's Prime Time Cafe - Mind your manors and use proper etiquette while sitting at mom's table. Sure you can watch TV while you eat, but if your caught with you elbows on the table or vegetables left on your plate, you will be punished. The first time Justin and I came here, I warned Justin to mind his manors or he would really be punished. He laughed like I was joking, but what he didn't realize was, I wasn't. We were seated at our table and just behind our table, the father sitting with his family tried to order dessert without finishing his vegetables. Uncle Fred was not a fan of this and picked up his fork, scoop up some vegetables and made a plane sounds and fly his vegetables right into dad's mouth. Justin made sure to eat his vegetables first. We finished dinner without being scolded. Of course we ordered dessert. When it comes to the food, think of the best home cooked meatloaf or pot roast you've ever had. That's right it's home style cooking, made with love. Let's not forget about dessert, that sundae you always wanted to create as a child or the hand-spun milkshake. The experience is fun and entertaining. 4. Boma - Flavors of Africa - This one is buffet style with lots of options to choose from. This is another restaurant Justin and I visited on our honeymoon. When I made the reservation, I mentioned that we were celebrating our honeymoon. We sat at our table and there laid a menu signed by the entire staff congratulating us on our marriage. Talk about feeling welcomed. The restaurant smelled so good. They had a variety of foods we had never tried before, so our first trip to the buffet we put a little bit of everything we could fit on our plate. We just wanted to try everything, so we did. Not only were the main dishes great, but so was all the dessert. So, if you not feeling like choosing one item to eat from a menu, Boma is a great option for you. 3. Coral Reef Restaurant - Have you ever wondered what is would be like to have a very large tank of sea life watching you eat seafood? Well here is the place for you. Justin and I visited Coral Reef on our 2nd wedding anniversary. We were seated right up against the tank. Crush, Bruce and friends swam by as we enjoyed our dining experience. The restaurant is themed under the sea, so you truly feel like your swimming with Nemo and Dory. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was great and the company was even better. 2. 'Ohana - It truly does mean family. We ate here in November of 2015. We were seated for our reservation moments after arriving. We could see the Magic Kingdom from our table. Our server delivered us our first round of food, the starters. We started with bread and salad and then chicken wings. They were so yummy. After that they brought us skewers with a few different kinds of meat. We ended the meal with dessert, just as you should. 'Ohana isn't just about the food, but the entertainment. Throughout the entire meal we were serenaded with lovely Hawaiian songs being sung by a beautiful woman. Of course, she noticed that I just happened to have the state flower tattooed on my wrist. She was so amazed she told the entire restaurant to come over and see it, thankfully nobody, but some servers came over. Overall the atmosphere was amazing and we plan on having breakfast with Lilo and Stitch on our next visit. 1. Cinderella's Royal Table - The one place where you can truly dine like a princess no matter your age. I've mentioned one of the reasons we love this one in a previous posts, but here is just one more to make the experience whole. We dined here again on our four year wedding anniversary. Our reservation was a bit later than I would have liked, but it was still perfect. The princess came around to our table and greeted us as if we were part of the family. We took our pictures with each one. If you have never dined at Cinderella's Royal Table, you must know that you have to prepay if you make a reservation or purchase a package. This a 2 dining plan restaurant. This was the year we purchased the deluxe dining plan, having no clue what we had gotten ourselves into. This dining experience was our 2nd last night of our visit and we had too many meals left. The couple behind us and their son seemed to be visiting for their first time. We had taken some pictures for them of the whole family when the princess came around. At the end our their meal our server brought a cover serving tray to their table. As she uncovered it, there lay a ring tucked in Cinderella's glass slipper. Now Disney is famous for proposals and Justin and I have seen our share. Some very, very sweet and some a little too rehearsed... This one was a bit different. Of course, she said yes, but wait... The server brought another covered serving tray to the table. As she uncovered in baby stuffed Mickey and Minnie. Apparently she was pregnant too! For those close enough to hear the proposal, baby announcement and explanation to their two year, we were all in tears. It was probably one of the sweetest moments we've experienced. We pulled our server aside and asked if we could give them our extra meal plan points and pay for their meal. She was shocked that we offered, but glad we did. Unfortunately, they had prepaid for two different packages and they were unable to accept our points. Disney offers some of the best food and experiences around. Some of the experiences are created by guests themselves. Truly magical experiences like this are the reason we keep coming back. So, never grow up, whether your taking your kids or your just a big kid yourself, enjoy the food and magic of dining at a Disney restaurant. Make sure you keep following our journey.
