And Our Trip Continues...

Day 3 Our alarms went off at 3 am. Time to get up and hydrate for our first race of the weekend. Justin and I woke my parents up, who were running the race with us, we all got dressed, put on our bibs and exited the building. Thankfully our room was a short 5 minute walk to the corrals. After the race we headed back to our room to get ready for the day. Our day began at Disneyland, which we arrived just before the gates opened for the day. I was so excited, first on the agenda was meet Jack and Sally. As I stood there waiting for the gate to open, I realized it was going to be 45 mins before they were going to show up. So, we ran the the Haunted Mansion and walked right in. It was so perfect! The Haunted Mansion themed the Nightmare Before Christmas. I've gotta say, I've been on the Haunted Mansion at Walt Disney World thousands of times over my lifetime, but I absolutely loved Disneyland's better. It wasn't just the theme, the ride seemed longer. After that, Justin and I waited for Jack and Sally to arrive while my parents grabbed some breakfast. After photos we met back up for the next ride. We grabbed fast passes to Indiana Jones and then hopped on Jingle Cruise. Then, we headed to Tomorrowland to grab lunch at the Galactic Grill. Of course, I had a cheeseburger. After lunch we head back to Adventureland to explore while waiting for our Fastpass. After riding Indiana Jones we separated from my parents to meet up with our friend Alicia, who we met on Instagram the year before. After meeting, we immediately headed to Disney's California Adventure. We enjoyed some shenanigans on the swings and the Little Mermaid ride before heading to the Tower of Terror. What an experience! Just those other WDW nerds like me, we've been on the Tower of Terror and enjoyed it for what it was. This was a different experience all together. First, we convinced the whole elevator to make the same face. Then, it began, total darkness. It was a completely different ride in the dark. After getting off the ride we ran to Ariel's Grotto to meet back up with my parents for dinner. The food was so amazing, we all had the lobster bisque, Grilled lobster tail and red oak-smoked honey-whiskey barbecue tri-tip and the dessert sampler. It was freezing in the restaurant which would be my only complaint. The service was incredible. After dinner, we headed over the bridge to have our pictures taken in front of the Farris wheel lit up and then to the Little Mermaid ride. Unfortunately, the ride broke down just after we jumped in line. So, we decided to go hop on line for our reservation for the World of Color-Season of Light. I absolutely loved this. It was so different then any of the other after dark show at WDW. My only complaint, I got wet and it was chilly out. Otherwise, the show was incredible. The lights, water cannons, music and images being displayed. It gave me the feels, but not like Wishes... After that, we headed back to the room to get some sleep in before our race the next morning.
